Meet
Travis. He has been my best friend since I lived in Detroit.
He was the kind of kid who would start throwing shit at you at the school
rally or start screaming at the hot girls walking by on the street. He
was a guy who just didn't give a damn about what people thought. I
Admired that in him a lot since I wasn't naturally like that. He
never had the chip on his shoulder, He really thought he was the most bad
ass guy on the planet. When people were calling me Bad Ass , he would
call me up and say , are those guys fucking with me, you are softer
then sharmens.
He is the
only one that will ever get away with saying that.
He really
showed me how to not give a damn about what any of you think, He was
in many ways the reason I got into wrestling. He was pretty much the
biggest fan of stone cold Steve Austin there ever was. He took the
same attitude Austin had and pretty much idolized him for it while I took
the Triple H way of things, DX days and all.
If I ever
needed anything from anyone , I wouldn't hesitate to ask Travis.
Only
problem is, it was unknown what Travis would do.

Take a
good look around you Rizza , this is what its like to be up against
the real deal. This is what it feels like to really be in the
spot light. I bet you are asking yourself what do I do now?
I bet you are asking yourself what is it that I can do to defeat this guy ,
He is nothing compared to me, I run Boardwalk wrestling.
Whatever you think is irrelevant , and what you do from this point forward
is irrelevant. You have woken beast and now you have to deal with the
repercussions of that provocation.
I am not
just any normal guy you step in the ring with week after week, I am a
head liner , I am a main event athlete , I was a star long before you took
your first bump in the ring. At live, you will be humbled ,
You will learn respect for the men and women who paved the way for hot shot
guys like you because believe it or not I was a hot shot to, and
I went through hot shots to become one.
Its your
turn to go through this hot shot son.

Destiny and Travis sit at a beach bar along the Atlantic city coast line
enjoying 2 long island ice tea's and a plate of cheese steak nachos.
Travis didn't always eat the right way but he stayed in terrific shape.
He and I go back a long time and he has done things that has shown me he is
one guy I can trust in a fight, but was never to bright when it came
to rational thinking. I flew him in from Detroit , he was in between
doing wrestling shows so I thought he could use a little R and R, besides we
haven't seen each other in a little while.
Travis : Wish the
waitress would have made this a little stronger. Feels like im
drinking water. How in the hell does it taste like im drinking
the water that came out of the spiket!?
Reno
: Because you
drink like a fish and you probably lost your taste for alcohol a long time
ago.
Travis : You
may be right about that, so they should put more alcohol in this
drink, WAITRESS!
Travis
waives down the bartender and asks for more alcohol in his long island.
She says sure , which surprised me, thought they had limits on these
sorts of things. I guess if you're paying, you can have whatever
you want. Is he paying for this?
Travis : So Mr. boardwalk star is about to go after his first
title! I had almost forgot you was here since I never watch anything
from jersey, Jersey shore, The Sopranos , Who knows what
filth has come out of Jersey. Did I mention it Stinks here?
Reno
: Yes you
have, but Lets not beat around the bush, I brought you out here to get you
out of the D man. You been working that circuit for years now and I
want you to come here to boardwalk and make some noise of your own man.
Travis : You brought me over here to try to get me to move to
this sum bitch? You have got to be out of your mind. The D is my
home man, just like years ago when you said That other company you had
was your home, look at you now, Rolled out on them and came to
Boardwalk again. Besides, I would kick everyone's ass here
and fornicate with their women. Love that part.
Reno
: I just want
you to advance yourself. All that nickel and Diming your doing isn't
going to get you out of veronica's basement.
Travis :
Yeah not all of us can get Sponsors crawling to them because they are about
to fight for a championship. I fight every other weekend and you
know what it makes me feel good. To know I didn't sell out the D like
some of us did. Don't get me wrong I understand why you did
it, you wanted to be a big star, traveled the world. Just
wish we could have turned THE FED into that global icon we dreamed of doing.
Now im left beating up the same guys for fun every damn weekend.
Reno
: You are the
best at it.
Travis : Hell
yeah. Don't get me wrong bro, im proud of what you have
done, you really stuck it to your dad by doing all that you have done.
Remember when you got in trouble in school that one time and he banned you
from watching Monday Night Raw for like a month and you cried your ass off
for hours , and it just happened to be a Monday.
Reno
: Good times
to remember there Trav.
Travis : Look,
ill think about what you asked me to do. Seems like I need to
come down here and protect you from the ruff necks of downtown Atlantic
City, hookers and what not running around at night.
Reno
: yes I know
you will handle that.
Travis : Break
This guy rizzas face
wont you, I saw a couple of his promos before, dudes a real
douche bag know it all. I almost kicked my screen down listening
to him talk . What kind of fucking name is Rizzsexx anyway,
sounds like a bad strip club that smells of old hot dogs and ass.
Reno
: He
would be just like me, if he had a lot more years and more
championships under his belt. As a rookie I was a Double Champion,
Remember?
Travis : It
wasn't no Tag Team Title either.
Reno
: Didn't
need any help, not even from you bitch.
Travis : Watch
your mouth before I do join Board Walk and make you Prove that to me.
Reno's Phone Rings

: Hello? Oh right, I will be there soon.
Look Travis, im going to call you and Uber so you can get back to your
hotel
Travis : Man I'll
walk, no one is fucking with me down here.
Reno
: Heh , I know that.
I
sets some money down on the table and walks towards the parking lot.
Alex just called me and Told me that Jason From First Place Sports has
agreed to come to my house to have a sit down about my potential endorsement
opportunity. I don't like meetings but I learned a lot about how
to maneuver my way around them being the C.O.O of a company before.
I should be able to convince him im worthy of this without the strap around
me but it will be a hard sell.
I walk through the front door
and Alex is standing there waiting for me with his arms wide open smiling
from ear to ear.
Alex
: Jesus is
the way my brotha!
Reno
: Don't start that
shit again. Are we ready?
Alex
: He is on
his way, what do you have in mind.
Reno
: Just let me
handle it and if all else fails, You're Fired.
Alex
: Well, no pressure eh?
The
Doorbell rings after about 15 minutes of waiting . Jason Duvall of
First Place Sports walks in and shakes Alex and my hands. Cassandra
walks in and shakes his hand and offers him a glass of water. We all
exchange small talk and sit down in the living room with the TV turned onto
Power.
Alex
: You watch
Power Jason?
Jason
: Actually yes ,
I do. As much as I would like to watch this episode , I would like to
discuss this business with Reno.
Reno
: Yes , I understand you have had some concerns about ,
well my past.
Jason
: It was a
point of emphasis with my superiors. We have come up with a solution
for you.
Reno
: For me?
Listen, My past is in the past. Anyone who know me knows
that I do business but to be perfectly honest with you , im no kiss ass
either. I would think that First Place Sports would recognize a
global ICON when you see one. That business with Strike Towers,
has been handled. My Twitter Battles with Brennan Devlin and any
body else was handled and totally fabricated if I may say so. The fact
that im explaining all this to you pisses me off because this shouldn't be
based on that. This should be based on the fact that I have
traveled this world and have overcome astronomical obstacles to become one
of the name stays in wrestling history. My work speaks for itself

We value what you have accomplished but in this day in age, someone's
reputation can hit a downfall within the blink of an eye and we have to
protect the brand first before an individual. Ask anyone else on our
payroll, we cut mother fuckers off real quick if they show one sign of a
fuck up. However we have something that I think should be within your
power to accomplish. We are willing to give you an endorsement and
believe me , one from us will put you back on the global scale cusp lets
face it, No one is touching you right now without a real showing of
greatness from you again. this isn't 2008 where you were winning
titles. You may be a Hall Of Fame Talent now but lets be honest you
haven't been on the winning side of things as of late. First
Place sports is the name.

: What do you
have in mind.

: Live, All
you have to do is bring First Place Sports the Casino Championship and you
have yourself a deal. You get the endorsement and we get the casino
champion on our roster it s a Win Win for the both of us. People in
the world need to see you can still capture magic again. We want to be
the first ones to say we knew he could do it.
Reno
: Sounds like
this really would be a good deal. Except you will disavow me if I
lose.
Jason
: This is the
price of doing business my friend.
Alex
: We need a
minute to confer please enjoy yourself , watch a little bit of power and
don't think about angie, she is mine.
Alex
takes me into the dinning room and grabs my shoulder

: Can't believe im
saying this but he has a point. No one wants to touch you and it makes
sense that this could be the reason why.
Reno
: Well
that means I have to get rizza to cough up that championship.
Endorsements really takes the sport out of wrestling. People using my
greatness to make a quick buck.
Alex
: We have
kids mouths to feed to, even you.
I looks
back around the corner to Cassandra sitting on the deck. She smiles at
me rubbing her belly, then gives me the finger. Walking back into the
living room Jason looks at me and points at the TV
Jason : Well, you were right, Angie is very
beautiful
Reno
: So
Lets say I do accept these terms. This deal would get done
immediately?
Jason
: We want
this deal don't just as fast as you do, either way , im leaving Atlantic
City this week.
Reno
: Alex , Get
him tickets to the show, You will get first hand view of the greatness
you are about to sign up.
He gets up to shake my hand and shakes Alex's hand before he heads for
the door. Alex and I look at each other.
Alex
: You ready
for Live!?
Reno
: Rizza
better be ready. I am the best wrestler in the world. That
Casino Championship and that Endorsement is as good as mine.

The
camera fades in with Reno Destiny standing in the middle of a ring, spot
light above him and darkness surrounding him. The grey canvas
brightens the room from the button as Reno stands there looking around into
nothing.
I spend
most of my life in a wrestling ring, its a surprise I haven't puked at the
very sight of it. Sometimes I stand in this ring night after night and
think what the hell do I still walk in here for. Most times guys
would say when you have thoughts like that, its time to hang it up but
sometimes, most times, that spark comes back and I remember why
I started
 doing
this in the first place. Maybe it was misplaced, my ambition
that is. I took up wrestling to oppose my fuck tard father who told me
I could never wrestle nor be able to beat anyone in anything. I took
that motivation and turned it into a hall of fame career. I turned
something I enjoyed watching on television and turned it into a legendary
career. When I look at a guy like Rizza I see why I still
wrestle now. Believe it or not I had my doubts about wrestling
again, it seemed like I had really accomplished everything that I set
out to do. Then a hot shot comes and tries to tell me that I
don't have what it takes anymore , or that I am a has been stepping stone,
whatever you want to call me now days. Its nothing different then
being called a failure or having someone tell you that you will never be
world champion. Rizza, If there is one thing you should
know about me son is that everything you say can and will be used against
you and for a guy like me, that holds grudges for life, You may
want to make friends with me before I take this to personally.
I look at a
guy like Rizza and the more you talk the more it starts to piss me off that
you feel like you are entitled to being deemed the best in boardwalk,
and why ? you have 2 championships. That is a great
accomplishment seeing as one of those titles you needed help to even get.
The Casino Championship is on the line here Rizza. You keep bringing
up the losses that you handed to me, one being in a tag match that I
had no intentions of winning. Lets run down the past though, you beat
Bryan Williams for the Casino championship. Impressive seeing as he
beat the man that I defeated for my first world championship when in his
Prime Myris. I would love to know where Bryan is now, he
seems to not even exist anymore. Regardless of where he is or who he
is, he isn't here anymore and from the looks of it wont come
back. Is he a credible champion you can claim to have a victory over,
or was he just a place holder champion because myris had no time for this?
You can name off countless men that you have beaten in your wake of being a
double champion and those names may be stellar in your eyes but my Resume
outshines yours every step of the way. You are not the best in
boardwalk wrestling because you are about to witness the true nature of what
I call the Inner carnage.
I Stand in
this ring not to tell you how great I am, That will be shown in the
ring. I want to educate you Rizza. The one thing you have wrong
is that, the reason I get those opportunities is because for a long time
people have seen ME... in those dark matches... they have seen ME get handed
nothing and made that nothing into fucking diamonds. They see the work
hors tailback that I am who carries the ball in whatever promotion that I
step foot in . They Know who I am already. There is a flaw in
your thoughts however Rizza. I didn't build Boardwalk Wrestling.
Now have I competed with the people who DID create boardwalk wrestling?
Yes Mike Pettis and I go back, Erick Dean and I go back,
some of the original boardwalk of directors and I go way back but lets be
clear, None of them gave a damn about the future of Reno Destiny.
You think I get the Vet Special? Nothing was ever handed to me my
friend. I have fought the top guys for over 16 years beating them
1,2,3 in the middle of this ring and my hall of fame spot is earned.
My championships are earned. If you believe im getting pushed through
the rankings because I have some kind of a Veteran In then you would be
delusional. I believe I can beat you because, You are
beatable.
You have a
win over me in singles competition, congratulations. This match
is where the pressure is. This is where big tyme meets the Icon.
Do you have what it takes to take on someone like me at his peak? When
there is something of value on the line? Im not going to give you the
brass ring speech even though it would be a good one, but this is it
for you. this is the marker. The bar is being set for you right
here and right now. I want you to remember this day rizza
because it will be a day you remember. I Started as a rookie and
won 2 singles titles within the first 2 months of me being employed and it
is a hell of a feeling rizza, but I don't have to wait for you to slip up.
You already did.
You did
when you took my name and looked at it as if it was another name on the
card. Look at yourself now, you smile when you hear my name because
you are confident from the last match a few weeks ago. I want
you to keep that smile on your face. Keep the smile on your face
when I kick YOU in the face with Fate. Keep that smile on your face
when your laying on your back with the refs hands smacking the canvas next
to your face. Smile the next day when you wake up and are hugging a
Tag Team title instead of a Casino title. I want you to look at that
title right now and kiss it and appreciate the fact that you have been able
to hold onto it for a few months. Come Live, that ends, in a sudden
crash of your world when I take that confidence and render it to a million
pieces in front of you. This isn't a game anymore Rizza, this
isn't bright lights and fun times Rizza, you are not going into
the ring with a rookie, you are not going into the ring with Bryan
Williams , you are not going into the ring with Reno Destiny from a
few weeks ago, You are walking into the ring with a Reno Destiny
on a mission to show you and everyone who continues to doubt that I have
anything left in this tank that the world around them is about the crash and
Reno Destiny is about to Kick Your ASS!
When its
all said and done Rizza, and the dust settles , the seats are emptied and
the janitor is picking up the thrown away cigarette butts from the floor you
will be sitting in this ring asking yourself where do I go from here.

can still become something great with the tag team titles, I guess.
